Vaadi Herbals Anti Acne Neem Facewash Review

Hi Everyone!

In this post, I am going to review one of the best affordable facewashes available in India, Vaadi Herbals Anti Acne Neem Facewash.

Facewash is the most important step of your daily skin care regime. Using a proper facewash is a blessing to your skin. There are so many brands available in the market and finding the best for your skin that actually work on the problem areas of your face is really a tedious job. But with my blog, you can sit back and relax and enjoy the served products which undergo several usage before being put on here.

Acne and pimple are major problems that hit you after your puberty or in your teenage. But do you know that adult acne can also ruin your face after your teens? Yes, adults do also suffer from acne and pimples time to time and it needs to be treated soon. When you have acne on your face, your facewash needs to be mild or it can irritate your skin.

The facewash comes in a green tube with a transparent section just above the flip over cap. Through the clear section in the front, you will be able to see the product clearly. Like many facewashes, it does not come in outer carton. But all the details are printed in the body of the facewash.

The facewash is a thick light greenish gel with small green and yellow beads. The Vaadi Herbals Anti Acne Neem Facewash comes with a perfect blend of tea tree. the combination of neem and tea tree is perfect to cure the breakout problems. The facewash is mild enough as it is not a foaming facewash.

Here is a complete ingredients list of Vaadi Herbals Anti Acne Neem Facewash:

  • Steamed Distilled Neem (Melia Azadirachta) Extract
  • Tulsi Extract (Ocimum Sanctum)
  • Pure Aloe Vera Extract
  • Turmeric Extract
  • Coconut Oil Derivative
  • Tea Tree Extract
  • DM Water

The claims of the product is quite on point. It claims to have a double action formulation that controls your acne by controlling the excess sebum production and kills acne causing bacteria. It is also meant to unclog pores, heal lesions faster and control the infection.

Vaadi Herbals Anti Acne Neem Facewash comes in a 60 ml or 2.11 oz tube and is priced at ₹60/-. But if you are purchasing it in a sale, you will be able to save upto ₹10.

My Experience:

I have been using this Vaadi Herbals Anti Acne Neem Facewash for 4 to 5 months now and I am loving it. I do have a little bit of breakouts going on in my skin at times. So, it works amazing! It does not dry out your skin. It smells a little medicinal like Savlon but that does not bother me much. Being a thick gel, a little amount is enough. Usually I take a pea sized amount and it gently cleanses the skin. The beads present in the gel does not work much. This facewash will be a contstant in my skin care regime. One thing that I do not like about the facewash is that there is only one size available. You have to buy the single one or in a pack of 3 or 4. So, you will not be able to use a pump bottle which I think is more convenient.

Pros:

  • Cleanses thoroughly
  • Budget-friendly
  • Impressive ingredients
  • Travel-friendly
  • Works on pimples and acne
  • Does not dry out skin
  • Not tested on animals
  • Soothes Skin

Cons:

No Cons Found.

Do I recommend / repurchase?

Yes. I recommend it to people with oily, combination, dry and normal skin types. I have used up 3 tubes and will keep on repurchasing it.

Biotique Bio Cucumber Toner Review

Hello Everyone!!!

Welcome to another review post of the month. Today I am going to review one of the most hyped product from the house of Biotique which is their Bio Cucumber Pore Tightening Toner with Himalayan Waters. The pore tightening term is the only thing that made me try the so hyped product.

As you might know that Biotique is an Ayurvedic brand that is the house of quite a good number of skincare, haircare and makeup products. Biotique's skincare and hair care products have been trusted products for people even with a budget constraint.

The product comes in a cardboard packaging with dark green and cream colour combination. The outer packaging is filled with information. Each and every side of the cardboard box informs you about certain things like their other must-try products, about the brand, key ingredients of the product, the quantity of the product, product price, manufacturing and expiry date. So, when you are purchasing the product, you do not need to break the seal and uncover the product in order to see the required details.

Coming on to the product's inner packaging, the product comes in a transparent plastic bottle with a dark green screw cap. A cream coloured label is present in the body of the bottle that provides all the necessary information.

The toner is a light greenish coloured liquid which is visible from the bottle. The toner smells like lemon. When it is poured into a cotton ball, it does smell a bit like astringent.

It claims to tighten pores and it is for normal to oily skin people. It also claims to be refreshing and bring the skin into perfect pH balance and helps purify skin. Organically it is pure and preservative free.

As far as the price and quantity are concerned, the toner comes in a single quantity of 120 ml /4.06 fl. oz. and is priced at just ₹ 175 /-. But if you are purchasing online during any sale, you can grab it at ₹130 - ₹ 135.

My Experience:

Its pore tightening property has drawn my attention. I do not have a lot of pores on my face, but I do have a few on my cheeks here and there. So, this toner really worked for my pores. The smell might feel a bit chemically or might be a strong odour to some but it fades away in some time. It does not make your skin super greasy. But if you have very oily skin, then your face will secrete the oil as usual after an hour or so. It refreshes the skin post usage. The product comes with 3 years of expiry from the date of manufacture. It takes a lot of time for a bottle to get over as you really need a little amount per usage. It does what it claims.

Pros:
  • Pore tightening
  • Maintains pH of the skin
  • Small goes a long way
  • Does not dry up the face or make it greasy
  • The smell does not linger for a long time
  • Budget-friendly
  • Best suits normal to oily skin
Cons:
  • The complete ingredients list is absent
  • Smells a bit chemically

Do I recommend / repurchase?

Yes, definitely. I recommend it to peeps out there especially to people with oily skin. It is a must try.  This is my first bottle and I have almost reached to the bottom of the bottle. I would definitely repurchase it.

Manna Kadar Runaway Ready Face Primer Review

Hello Everyone!

This is my first post on my blog. Another attempt after failure with the first one. This isn't that easy to go ahead and write down feelings because it takes the effort to judge, plan and then publish a post. So this time I promise myself and you that I would put my blood and sweat to be consistent with the blog. Okay...too much of melodrama...

Let's move on to the reason that brought you here. Manna Kadar's Runaway Ready Primer. I thought of starting my blog with a primer because it is the first and the most essential thing to start off a makeup session. There's a small disclaimer though...I have not purchased this particular product, but definitely, I have purchased a beauty subscription box which consisted of the Manna Kadar Primer as the main attraction.

Manna Kadar is a famous beauty guru hailing from Paris, France and she started her line of cosmetics back in 2012. In today's market, Kadar's cosmetics are in every woman's wishlist. Such popularity!

The packaging is very classy. It comes in a matte transparent tube with a white screw cap thus helping you to see the product from outside. The end part of the tube has a very pale pink section clearly mentioning 'Manna Kadar Beauty Simplified' and the transparent section mentions the quantity along with step 1.

Probably the product I have is of sample size received in one of the Indian monthly subscription boxes. Unfortunately, I have not received any outer packaging or a carton. But, you will get a bronzy - copperish outer pack for a full-size product.

The primer is a clear gel, a thick gel to be precise with no trace of essence. You have to warm up the product between your fingers before applying it.  The formula is not my favourite though!

It claims to suit all skin types.  But I will suggest dry skin people to properly prep and moisturise your face prior application of this primer. For all the oily skin people out there, it is a boon for you as it sets into a silky matte finish. It reduces pores to some extent, smoothes out skin for the better application of foundation and keeps your makeup stay on place for a good period of time. So, if you are someone with super oily skin, you might see tad bit oiliness after about 3 - 4 hours. (I have oily skin with more oilier T zone. On my face the primer can hold back the oiliness for not more than 4  - 5 hours).

Coming on to the price and quantity, it comes in a single size of 20ml priced at $42 (approx. ₹ 2980 in today's market value).  The one I have is a small size of 8ml (price will be $16-$17 or approx. ₹1200, roughly calculated) which I am assuming it is for promotion, marketing and subscription box purposes only.

My Experience :

Honestly speaking, thick formulated primers are not my favourite. But the quality and finish are qualities I always desire for in a primer. Initially, I had a bit of trouble blending in because of the thick consistency but with thorough massage, it settles in the skin. It cancels out skin textures making your face ultra smooth. The staying power is quite good. So, I am in favour of the claims. A really nice primer to conclude.

Pros :

  • Travel-friendly classy packaging
  • Unscented clear gel
  • Matte finish
  • Smoothens out skin
  • Long Lasting
  • Reduces pores
Cons
  • Overpriced
  • Limited availability
  • Thick consistency
  • Takes time to blend

Do I recommend / repurchase?

Yes, I recommend it if you feel you can pay huge for a small primer and/or can grab it very easily.  Else, you have lots of option that are readily available in India below this price. As for repurchase, I have not bought the product but paid for a subscription box it came in. Given an option, I won't repurchase.
